The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Collection is proud to present the Les Paul Standard 50s, a guitar that lovingly recreates the feel and tone of the 1950s era Les Pauls. Epiphone's long-standing friendship with the legendary Les Paul began in 1940 when he built one of the world's first solid-body electric guitars while working nights at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan. The "Log," as Les' first solid-body guitar was nicknamed, would go on to inspire the Les Paul Standard, considered by many to be the greatest electric guitar ever made.

The Les Paul Standard 50s is crafted with a Mahogany body, a Maple cap (AAA veneer on figured tops), and a bound 50s-shaped Mahogany neck with a long neck tenon. The Indian Laurel fingerboard features the classic trapezoid inlay, and the guitar is equipped with Epiphone's new Vintage-Deluxe tuners, a pair of critically acclaimed Epiphone ProBucker humbuckers, and gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers. The guitar is available in Metallic Gold, Vintage Sunburst, and Heritage Cherry Sunburst full-gloss finishes.

This Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Original model also features the Kalamazoo headstock, a rolled neck for a comfortable feel, a GraphTech NuBone nut, era-appropriate wiring, and CTS pots. The guitar's specifications include a Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck with a '50s Rounded C Profile, an Indian Laurel fingerboard, and Epiphone ProBucker 1 & 2 pickups. The control layout consists of 2 Volume, 2 Tone, CTS pots, 50s style wiring, and a 3-way Epiphone toggle.
