The SG Modern, featuring a gorgeous black gloss finish, is shaped and scarfed like a classic SG, but it's much more than a classic solid guitar. The body is crafted with a veneer AAA flame maple top and mahogany back, characteristic of a Les Paul, and the genuine ebony, 24 fret fingerboard and asymmetrical, slim taper neck allow for fast and silky access to the highest frets.

Incorporating many contemporary updates that players have embraced, the SG Modern is a hybrid between an SG and a Les Paul. It boasts a pair of Epiphone Probucker humbuckers with coil splitting via push/pull volume knobs and phase switching via push/pull on one tone control. Upscale appointments include a Locktone ABR bridge and Grover locking Rotomatic tuners, as well as clear top hat knobs.
